| Regarding the introductory kite lesson, the most important KB lesson you will take. It's all about the kite!
Ground school includes theory, weather, the ABC's of depowering, selfrescue methods, equipment, safe setup and safe launch/land practices. Trainer kites will be flown weather permitting. $180 3hrs
So the process of how to learn to kiteboard is covered on land, from theory to setup to riding, i.e. you get hooked up to the bar in harness, upwind board drag is explained, snowkiting is explained, how to proceed
further is discussed etc.
Lesson is at Cedar Creek park (lakeshore dr. across from st. hubertus winery)
No rentals, no water lessons. Kiteboarding is an extreme sport.

| Method Rider Dale Christenson coined the technique on Neptune Beach Florida. “I needed some water bad and didn't feel like dropping my kite” says Christenson “we have posts that hold garbage cans, I took the can off, hooked my trim loop on the hook, every thing was cool so I made a dash to the house for some water, when I came back, my kite was still hanging out.”
“I'm not suggesting that guys hitch up in crappy wind, just pointing out how a lot of kites will be launched in the future (in good wind).” says Christenson. “Most riders don't have the experience to check lines, bridles and pulleys. For this reasons, I wouldn't just ask some mo to launch my kite, I want to check the lines and pulleys myself. The hitch'en post is the safest way for me to launch.” Says Dale.
And I say, this method works for me!
